Me and My Grandpa is perfect for Father's Day and can be brought out again in October for Grandparent's Day. This charming, rhyming picture book is about a small bear and his grandfather. They spend the day together and we follow them as they walk through the forest, get dirty, take a swim, make friends and takes us all the way to bed time. This is a great book for story hour as each page spread has rhyming text, large font, and soft illustrations on beautiful glossy pages. It is a wonderful little day in their life and emphasizes the importance of making memories with your love one. It also has a companion book available called Me and My Grandma! Enjoy this small press release from Tiger Tales with the little ones at your library! This story, The Tide, is about the relationship between a young girl and her grandfather. They love spending time together at the beach having picnics, building sand castles and searching for sea shells. Grandpa sometimes has memory problems and through that, the young girl learns patience by reflecting on her own forgetfulness, like tying her shoes or where she buried her polar bear toy. I enjoyed this book because of the love that they share for each other and the understanding of what Grandpa goes through. It teaches us to be patient and kind to our family members and friends that experience memory loss in their twilight years. Sales Representative, Jim Huebner This summer launches "A Universe of Stories" reading program and what better way to celebrate than to host your own Space Training Camp for kids to feel like they really are about to launch into space! 🚀 We came up with some ideas that we thought might be useful to help you get started:
