This story, The Tide, is about the relationship between a young girl and her grandfather. They love spending time together at the beach having picnics, building sand castles and searching for sea shells. Grandpa sometimes has memory problems and through that, the young girl learns patience by reflecting on her own forgetfulness, like tying her shoes or where she buried her polar bear toy. I enjoyed this book because of the love that they share for each other and the understanding of what Grandpa goes through. It teaches us to be patient and kind to our family members and friends that experience memory loss in their twilight years. Sales Representative, Jim Huebner
