I'm always excited when we have National Geographic Readers in Penworthy Prebound binding. What an excellent source for nonfiction! The books are always loaded with stunning photographs of the subjects and include factual information, highlighted words and ideas to engage the readers further. They are available in 5 reading levels: Pre-reader; Co-reader, Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3. The co-readers are fairly new to the series, and contain "Your Turn" pages with interactive activities (eg. "These seeds are ready to travel to their new homes! How do you think each seed will get there?"). They offer fun shared reading opportunities between children just starting to read and a parent or older reader. Be sure to put National Geographic Readers on your library shelf today!
